Welcome to Blue Springs Jujitsu!

 Started in 1992 by Wayne Marble, Blue Springs Jujitsu is a progressive martial arts school that focuses on education and the development of its students abilities. Our mission at Blue Springs Jujitsu is to develop individuals confidence, self esteem, and character through the practice of martial arts.

We specialize in the arts of Jujitsu, Judo and Kickboxing. Our students learn from highly qualified black belt instructors with many years of experience. We work with children and adults with programs suited for the beginner as well as the experienced Martial Artist.

For those interested in competitions we train and prepare students for Mixed Martial Arts, Judo, Kickboxing, and Grappling tournaments.

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Seminar @ Blue Springs Jujitsu

June 13th is a big day at Blue Springs Jujitsu as we welcome once again Renato Tavares, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt and world class champion.  Click on the poster to the left to find all of the details of this awesome day.

Belt Advancement!

Congrats to everyone who has advanced the past couple of weeks here at Blue Springs Jujitsu.  These advancements are in the Shingitai Jujitsu system and include striking, ground work and Judo throws.  The adult ranking in Shingitai is yellow, green, blue, brown (varying degrees) and black (varying degrees).  Each belt is attained through a knowledge and application testing, fitness testing and a "guantlet" type of round robin sparring.  Belts mean something here!

USA Judo Junior National Tournament

The USA Judo Nation Tournament will be held July 24-26 in Orlando, FL.  We had students participate last year, and already have students signing up to travel and compete this year.  King Frazier, Nathon Baker, and Tryston Hernandez will be representing our school in this tournament. Blue Springs Jujitsu Proud New Members of Renato Tavares Association

To expand an already excellent Jujitsu program, Blue Springs Jujitsu is proud to announce our affiliation with the Renato Tavares Brazillian Jiu-Jitsu Association.

This is going to bring some exciting new things to the BSJJ family.

1) expanded, regular training with a legit BJJ Black Belt.  You can read Renato's lineage at www.renatotavaresbjj.com.

2) opportunities to train with other affiliate schools.  The Renato Tavares Association includes many great schools with excellent teaching and students.

3) opportunity to belt test in BJJ.

Our association with Renato Tavares is a great fit. Renato has a great teaching spirit and a love for the tradition of BJJ.  His technique is matched well with his humble attitude.  A great match with our instructors.

As always we are constantly looking to increase the technique and ability of our teachers and students!
